Hillbillys in a Haunted House (1967)

Written by Robin on Letterboxd

Now Available on The Film Detective:

Of all that is ridonkulous about this motion picture, let's open with... It's a Sequel. So it's on you if you haven't seen Las Vegas Hillbillys.

This is mostly a country-western concert set for no reason at all in a Get Smart episode on a Scooby-Doo set. So enjoy that. I recommend the first 15 minutes for sure, just to understand that this is really happening. From there, you can advance to the song bits, particularly for the dream sequence number "Gowns Gowns Beautiful Gowns..." which seems like it was written for an Industrial that never materialized.

Cameo Alert: Young Merle Haggard!
